CeeTee's JournalFirst of all, I did not realize it has been a month since I last "blogged." It disturbs me to know that there are people out there who will deliberately set a fire, with no thought of the welfare of animal or beast. Personally, I think they should get 20 years behind bars if they are caught. Not only do they destroy precious forests, but they drive the deer, birds, squirrels, rabbits and snakes, into our habitat. They are left with no shelter or food source. The drought itself is taking its toll on the wellbeing of the human population, as well as the animal population. If caught, they should have to don a "hot suit" and fight fires in the blistering heat during the day, and locked up at night. Maybe that--and a good 20 years behind bars--will stop some of this nonsense.

About Me
I am a retired legal secretary and widow. I grew up in Midway, AL and graduated from Union Springs High School (now Bullock County High). I attended business school; went to Atlanta and lived there for 13 years; lived and worked in Silver Spring, Maryland for seven years. I have a daughter and two granddaughters, and am the middle child of five. Both parents are no longer living. My mother was quite a poet and my father was a self-taught musician and a very good one. My 30-year-old nephew, Bruce Evans, was killed in the line of duty with the Jackson County, MS Sheriff's Department on July 18, 2000, leaving a beautiful wife and two beautiful children, ages 8 and 5 1/2, so I suppose that pushes me to make my voice heard about crime and punishment.
