Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

First of all, I am outraged that this idiot is being given a forum in these United States, especially in New York, which has been the epicenter of the 9/11 tragedy.
I began watching Ken Burns' "The War" series last night and was tragically reminded of how these United States refused to let its own black citizens share in American rights that we all cherish and for which our forefathers fought. And we, in the year 2007, can allow a terrorist president from Iran, who is known for his "in your face" attitude, to speak to a university in New York or anywhere in America? How ironic is this? I don't give a flying flip about Ahmadinejad's "right to free speech." He is a dictator and doesn't know the meaning of the term. Frankly, I think the American Press should put away its cameras, pens and microphones and not give him a platform. As it stands now, he is laughing at the turmoil his visit has brought to the United States. And God forbid that some passionate soul take it upon himself to rid the world of this vermin. I pray that cooler heads prevail and the sooner he is out of our country, the better.

Name:
Location: Montgomery, Alabama, United States

I am a retired legal secretary and widow. I grew up in Midway, AL and graduated from Union Springs High School (now Bullock County High). I attended business school; went to Atlanta and lived there for 13 years; lived and worked in Silver Spring, Maryland for seven years. I have a daughter and two granddaughters, and am the middle child of five. Both parents are no longer living. My mother was quite a poet and my father was a self-taught musician and a very good one. My 30-year-old nephew, Bruce Evans, was killed in the line of duty with the Jackson County, MS Sheriff's Department on July 18, 2000, leaving a beautiful wife and two beautiful children, ages 8 and 5 1/2, so I suppose that pushes me to make my voice heard about crime and punishment.
