Gary Aldridge

Interesting. Do they really think we are stupid enough to believe this man tied his hands and feet BEHIND him and got into two wet suits? Gimme a break! I surely would like to know who is being protected here. There would have been an arrest in a similar scenario with the average John Doe citizen. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what happened here.

I feel sorry for his widow, his family and the church family; but the church is all about TRUTH--at least it is supposed to be. And someone else was involved, whether consensual or not, if left alone like this, that person is culpable and, at the least, should be charged with manslaughter.

I might add that the person protected here could be a minor. That being the case, I PRAY the church and the Association has the integrity and wisdom to investigate the membership and offer counseling to the youth. How confusing for them.

Name:
Location: Montgomery, Alabama, United States

I am a retired legal secretary and widow. I grew up in Midway, AL and graduated from Union Springs High School (now Bullock County High). I attended business school; went to Atlanta and lived there for 13 years; lived and worked in Silver Spring, Maryland for seven years. I have a daughter and two granddaughters, and am the middle child of five. Both parents are no longer living. My mother was quite a poet and my father was a self-taught musician and a very good one. My 30-year-old nephew, Bruce Evans, was killed in the line of duty with the Jackson County, MS Sheriff's Department on July 18, 2000, leaving a beautiful wife and two beautiful children, ages 8 and 5 1/2, so I suppose that pushes me to make my voice heard about crime and punishment.
